I made some Back-to-School gifts for my grandkids.  They are made with a roll of Rolo's Candy that is made to look like a pencil.  They turned our super cute and are easy to make.  I got the inspiration on the internet where they were made as Valentines for teachers.

 What you will need:
  • Rolo’s
  • Hershey Kisses (I used the almond ones with the gold wrapping.
  • Yellow and Pink Cardstock
  • Foil
  • Adhesive
  • Ribbon or String
  • Craft Scissors w/ Pinking Edge (optional) or border punch
Pull the Hershey’s label out of the Kiss, and use Glue Dots or other adhesive to attach the Hershey’s Kiss to one end of the Rolo.
Cut pink card stock 3.5" x 1" to add to the top of the roll to resemble an eraser.  Cut out a circle and attach it to the end of the rolo to finish off the eraser.
Cut yellow card stock 3.5 x 4.5.  Score the yellow paper at every quarter of an inch (if don't have a scorer, fold it over and over to create the crease marks) and attach it to the Rolo’s,  I used a border punch on the end of the yellow card stock so it has more of the sharpened pencil look.  You could use a border punch or craft scissors with a pinking edge.  An idea I had but did not try -- stamp or print the child's name on the yellow card stock.
Cut a thin piece of foil to cover the part where the yellow and pink overlap, this works as the metal portion of the pencil.
I attached a tag for each of them with a piece of red/white twine.
Just a fun/quick treat to give to teachers or to the kids.  You could change out the tag and use it for other occasions during the year.

I have just opened the shop and will be adding more things each week.  It will be a little bit of anything and everything paper crafts.
